The Power Paws anchoring system is what sets it apart from anything else. The multi point webbing anchor stabilizes against twisting and keeps the paddle snug against your hand. It can still be jettisoned reasonably easily by pulling the cord and poping the clasp, or you can hold the paw under your opposing arm and pull.
